becoming a vegetarian and losing weight

The author of this book makes an interesting point - you can become as much a vegetarian as you want ( you can be part veg) and also you can re build your diet so that weight loss will occur as a natural result of eating the right way. A very fresh perspective, worth reading even if you stay a meat eater!

I downloaded this book because my daughter is interested in becoming a vegetarian and I want to make sure she does it in a healthy way. There is a lot of great info in this book along with some delicious-sounding recipes. We can't wait to try the Asian salad. Thanks!

Not an actual weight loss plan..but great for Vegetarian Newbies!

I'm giving this 5-stars because it's great advice for those wanting to become or new to Vegetariansim. However, I don't see it as a weight-loss book. Myself, like countless others I'm sure, went Vegetarian and in times of waiting too long to eat, ended up eating big delicious bowls of pasta instead of taking the time to have meals planned for moments like that. Thus, I've put on a few pounds and I was hoping this book would be an actual 'diet' to assist in weight-loss and have some type of plan laid out, which it doesn't. That disappointed me..but because the advice is good...she gets the 5-stars ;)
